Weapon Proficiency
This system allows you to level up weapons as long as you hunt with them equipped.
Leveling your weapon unlocks powerful perks that you'll be able to use while wielding it.
To select and switch between perks, make sure you're standing inside a protection zone.
The available bonuses may vary depending on the weapon, but some of them include:
- increasing attack, spell damage, or healing.
- increasing critical chance or critical damage.
- increasing skills or reducing cooldowns.
- increasing mana or health leech.
- and many more.
You can access the Weapon Proficiency system through this button:
Weapon Leveling
To level up a weapon, you must have it equipped in your left hand while you kill monsters.
If you're playing as a Thief/Ninja, be aware that only the left weapon will earn experience.
Basically, the more you use your weapon, the more its proficiency grows.
The amount of experience earned depends on the category of the monster you're hunting:
- Trivial (chicken, green frog, etc): grants 10 exp per kill
- Easy (goblin, amazon, etc): grants 23 exp per kill
- Medium (crawler, behemoth, etc): grants 33 exp per kill
- Hard (wyrm, demon, etc): grants 38 exp per kill
To check which category a monster belongs to, you can use your bestiary as long as you have killed the monster at least once.
Perk Shaping
Once you unlock the first proficiency level of the weapon, you're able to reshape its perk.
You can do it by clicking on the Modify button.
In here, you'll have four different options:
- Refine: increases the rank of the selected perk by 1 up to a maximum of 10.
- Maximize: refines the perk to its maximum rank (10) at the cost of a lunar ascension orb.

- Reshape: replaces your current selected perk by giving you three other random perks that you must choose between (or discard).
- Clear: resets a perk to its initial state before any reshape was done.
Refine
All perks have a rank that goes from 0 to 10.
Using Life Gain on Kill as an example: On rank 0 (default) it gives you 10 hit points on kill. On rank 10 (maximum) it gives you 50 hit points on kill.
This means that unlocking a perk is only part of the process.
You can get even stronger by refining it to its ultimate rank.
The amount of exalted dust required scales based on the current perk rank:
Reshape
Reshaping it to a random new perk has a fixed cost of 250 exalted dusts.
Once you do it, you'll have three different random perks to choose from.
You can make your choice, or simply discard it.
No matter what your choice is, the 250 exalted dusts will be consumed.
Below is a GIF showing all of the random modifiers you can get on every reshape attempt.
Clear
If in the future you want to clear the perk you have rerolled, you can do it through the Clear button.
This option won't refund any of the exalted dusts invested in the reshape or refine options.
