The smelting station is located separately from the exaltation forge, but in a similar area.
While the forge is located on the left, the station is located in the right teleport northeast of Dry Creek.
Here, you can throw tiered items into the station in exchange for exalted ashes. 
Some missions from the battlepass require you to throw gold or any item maker into it.
The amount of exalted ashes obtained from each sacrifice depends on the tier of the item.
- Tier 1 → 9 exalted ashes in return
- Tier 10 → 4608 exalted ashes in return
To smelt a tiered item, simply drag it to the smelting station.
The resulting exalted ashes will be sent directly to your backpack.
