Bosstiary is a system designed to catalog and enhance your boss fights.

Through it, you're able to track a list of bosses and even receive some equipment loot bonuses.
The more bosses you hunt, the more benefits you can get from it.

You can access your bosstiary through this button:

Progress

Slaying a boss for the first time opens up its bosstiary entry.
They all have three different progress levels, and you can also earn boss points as you unlock new progress levels.

Those progress levels are divided into three different categories:

Prowess Icon.gif Prowess: allows you to assign the unlocked boss to a boss slot.
Expertise Icon.gif Expertise: allows you to exhibit the unlocked boss on a podium of vigour.
Mastery Icon.gif Mastery: grants you 25% more equipment loot bonuses from equipment when assigned to a boss slot.

The amount of bosses required to unlock every level depends on the boss category:

Bosstiary Bane.png Bane: stands for the most common bosses around Unline.
It requires 10 kills for Prowess, 30 kills for Expertise, and 100 kills for Mastery.

Bosstiary Archfoe.png Archfoe: stands for rarer bosses around Unline.
It requires 5 kills for Prowess, 20 kills for Expertise, and 40 kills for Mastery.

Bosstiary Nemesis.png Nemesis: stands for the rarest bosses fought around Unline.
It requires 3 kills for Prowess, 15 kills for Expertise, and 30 kills for Mastery.

As long as you kill bosses and earn boss points, you can increase the equipment loot bonuses from them.
Upon reaching 1500 boss points, you can unlock the second available boss slot.

Boss Slot

Once any of your unlocked bosses reaches the Prowess Icon.gif Prowess level, you're able to select it in the boss slot.

The selected boss in the slot will receive an equipment loot bonus increase, which means you'll have a higher chance to obtain equipment from it.
The more boss points you have, the higher your increased chance will be.

Once you reach 1500 boss points, you can select another boss in Slot 2.
To remove a selected boss, just click the Remove button and pay the requested fee in gold.

Boosted Boss

All players will also have a daily Boosted Boss, which refreshes every 24 hours.

This boss will have a fixed 250% equipment loot bonus and will grant 4x more entries to the bosstiary once killed.

Equipment Loot Bonus

This part will have a specific topic because it doesn't add more drop rate to the item.

I will provide an example of how drop rates work and how equipment loot bonus applies to your item.
I'll use Stone Gorgon as an example, but this applies to any boss.

Let's say you're fighting Stone Gorgon for a chance to loot an Emerald Herald Dagger. Emerald Herald Dagger.gif
This item has a base loot chance of 0.9%.

Every time you kill Gorgon, the game has a 100% chance of performing a draw.

"What is a draw?"
1. The game registers that the player killed Gorgon;
2. Therefore, the player has a 100% chance to receive a reward;
3. And this reward has a 0.9% chance to be any equipment item.

When you assign Gorgon to a Boss Slot, let's say it receives a total of 138% equipment loot bonus.

It doesn't mean that your item's drop rate will increase to 138.9% (0.9% + 138%).

"What does a 138% equipment loot chance mean?"
You'll have one draw by default from killing the monster.
You'll have a 100% chance of getting a second draw.
You'll have a 38% chance of getting a third draw.

On every successful draw, you'll have a 0.9% chance of dropping the item.
"Without the equipment loot bonus, what would occur?"
You would kill Gorgon, and your single draw gives you a 0.9% chance of getting the Emerald Herald Dagger you were looking for.
This is the default scenario.
"With the equipment loot bonus, what could occur?"
You would kill Gorgon, and your first draw gives you a 0.9% chance of getting the Emerald Herald Dagger you were looking for.
But remember you have that second draw? It could roll you another dagger, for example.
Remember the 38% chance of having a third draw? It could roll you another item, like an Emerald Herald Plate.

"But how could I get two daggers in the same drop?"
Every draw is independent, so it rerolls every equipment available on the drop list.
So, there are many scenarios that can happen.

Including the scenario of getting nothing extra.

Equipment loot bonus doesn't add more drop rate; it adds more possibilities.

Having a 28% equipment loot bonus means you have one guaranteed draw by default + a 28% chance of getting a second draw.

Example of a boosted boss Timira The Many-Headed with a 250% equipment loot bonus:
1. One draw by default.
2. Second draw with 100% chance.
3. Third draw with 100% chance.
4. Fourth draw with 50% chance.
