Bosstiary is a system with the purpose of catalog and enhance your boss fights.
Through it you're able to track down a list of bosses, and even receive some equipment loot bonuses.
The more bosses you hunt, more benefits you can get from it.
You can access your bosstiary through this button:
Progress
The first time you slay a boss opens up its bosstiary entry.
They all have three different progress levels and you can also earn boss poins as you unlock new progress levels.
Those progress levels are divided by three different categories:
Prowess: allows you to assign the unlocked boss to a boss slot.
Expertise: allows you to exhibit the unlocked boss in a podium of vigour
Mastery: grants you 25% more equipment loot bonuses from equipments when assigned to a boss slot.
The amount of bosses required to unlock every level depends on the boss category:
Bane: stands for the most common bosses around Unline.
It requires 10 kills for Prowess, 30 kills for Expertise, 100 kills for Mastery.
Archfoe: stands for rarer bosses around Unline.
It requires 5 kills for Prowess, 20 kills for Expertise, 40 kills for Mastery.
Nemesis: stands for the rarest bosses fought around Unline.
It requires 3 kills for Prowess, 15 kills for Expertise, 30 kills for Mastery.
As long as you kill bosses and earn boss poins, you can increase the equipment loot bonuses from them.
When having 1500 boss points, you can unlock the second boss slot available.
Boss Slot Tab
Boss Slot
Once any of your unlocked bosses reaches the
Prowess level, you're able to select it on the boss slot.
The selected boss on the slot will have an equipment loot bonus increase, which means you'll have more chance to obtain equipments from it.
The more boss points you have, more increased chance you'll have.
Once you reach 1500 boss points, you can select another boss on the Slot 2.
To remove a selected boss, just click the Remove button by paying the requested fee in gold.
Boosted Boss
All players will also have a daily Boosted Boss, which will refresh every 24 hours.
This boss will have fixed 250% equipment loot bonus, and will grant 4x more entries to the bosstiary once killed.
Equipment Loot Bonus
This part will have an specific topic, because it doesn't add more drop rate to the item.
I will put an example of how drop rate works, and how does equipment loot bonus applies to your item.
I'll use Stone Gorgon as an example, but it happens to any boss.
Let's say you're fighting Stone Gorgon for a chance to loot an Emerald Herald Dagger. ![]()
This item has a base loot chance of 0.9%.
Everytime you kill Gorgon, the game has 100% chance of doing a draw.
"What a draw is?" 1. The game understands that the player killed Gorgon; 2. So, the player has 100% chance to receive a reward; 3. And this reward has 0.9% chance to be any equipment item.
When you assign Gorgon to a Boss Slot, let's say it will receive a total of 138% equipment loot bonus.
It doesn't mean that your item drop rate will increase to 138.9% (0,9% + 138%).
"What does 138% equipment loot chance means?" You'll have one draw by default from killing the monster. You'll have 100% chance of having a second draw. You'll have 38% chance of having a third draw. On every successful draw, you'll have 0.9% chance of dropping the item.
"Without equipment loot bonus, what could occur?" You would kill Gorgon and your draw gives you 0.9% chance of getting the emerald herald dagger you were looking for. This is the default scenario.
"With equipment loot bonus, what could occur?" You would kill Gorgon and your draw gives you 0.9% chance of getting the emerald herald dagger you were looking for. But remember you have that second draw? It could roll you another dagger, for example. Remember the 38% chance of having a third draw? It could roll you another item, like an emerald herald plate. "But how could I get two daggers at the same drop?" Every draw stands individual, so it rerolls every equipment available on the drop list.
So, there are lots of scenarios that can be done.
Equipment loot bonus doesn't add more drop rate, it adds more possibilities.
By having 28% equipment loot bonus, it means that you have one guaranteed draw by default + 28% of having a second draw.
Example of a boosted boss Timira The Many-Headed with 250% equipment loot bonus. 1. One draw by default. 2. Second draw with 100% chance. 3. Third draw with 100% chance. 4. Fourth draw with 50% chance.![]()
