Weapon Proficiency
Weapon Proficiency
This system allows you to level up weapons as long as you hunt with them equipped.
By every reached level, you can unlock 1 or 2 perks that will be applied while you're using it.
To select and switch between perks, make sure you're standing inside a protection zone.
The available bonuses may vary depending on the weapon, but some of them:
- Increases attack, spell damage or healing
- Increases critical chance or critical damage
- Increases skills or reduces cooldown
- Increases mana or health leech
- And many more
You can access Weapon Proficiency system through this button:
Weapon Leveling
To level up a weapon, you must have it equipped on your left hand.
If you're playing as a Thief/Ninja, be aware that only the left weapon will earn experience.
Basically, the more you use your weapon, the more its proficiency grows.
The amount of experience earned depends on the category of the monster you're hunting:
- Trivial (chicken, green frog): grants 10 exp per kill
- Easy (goblin, amazon): grants 23 exp per kill
- Medium (crawler, behemoth): grants 33 exp per kill
- Hard (wyrm, demon): grants 38 exp per kill
You can check any monster category if you killed it at least once through your bestiary.
Perk Shaping
Once you unlock the first proficiency level of the weapon, you're able to reshape its perk.
You can do it by clicking on the Modify button.
In here, you'll have four different options:
- Refine: increases the rank of the selected perk in 1 until a maximum amount of 10.
- Maximize: refines the perk to its maximum rank (10) by the cost of a lunar ascension orb.

- Reshape: replaces your current selected perk by giving you three other random perks that you must choose between (or discard).
- Clear: resets a perk to its initial state before any reshape has been done.
All perks have a rank that goes from 0 to 10.
Using Life Gain on Kill as an example: On rank 0 (default) it gives you 10 hit points on kill. On rank 10 (maximum) it gives you 50 hit points on kill.
It means that, unlocking a perk is only part of the process.
You can get even stronger by reshaping it to its ultimate rank.
The amount of exalted dusts required scales based on the actual rank:
Now, if you're thinking on reshaping it to a random new perk, you'll have three of one of these options below to choose between.
