Special Spawns

Every monster slain gives you a chance to spawn a special monster.
Special monsters give players more experience and better loot, but they are also stronger monsters with more health and damage.
This energy gate indicates that a special monster is about to spawn.
Special Spawns are categorized by three different emblems:
Veteran: stronger than the regular version of the monster killed; it has a 10% chance of spawning a monster orb.
Elite: stronger than the veteran version of the monster killed; it has a 100% chance of spawning a monster orb.
Exalted: stronger than the elite version of the monster killed; it has a 100% chance of spawning a monster orb.
Exalted Creatures
Sometimes you'll have the chance to spawn an exalted creature 
.
Those monsters, besides giving a higher amount of experience, also give a guaranteed amount of exalted dust and sliver. 
They can also be tracked down by using an exalted compass, which you can obtain from the Exaltation Seller NPC. 
By using it, you can basically track down a random exalted creature's location that is currently alive in the gameworld.
It has unlimited charges and is a great way to farm for dust and slivers.
