Gem Atelier is a major expansion and specialized subsystem of the Wheel of Destiny.
It allows players to socket powerful and customizable Gems directly into the wheel's domains to unlock powerful modifiers.
They are obtainable through bosses.
Core Mechanics & Sockets
The Wheel of Destiny is divided into four main quadrants (Vessels).
Each of these Vessels houses exactly one dedicated Gem Socket node:
To benefit from a gem, you cannot simply place it in the interface.
You must invest enough Promotion Points into that specific Vessel's node path to reach and explicitly unlock its Gem Socket node.
Gems are fundamentally tied to the specific Vessel socket they are placed in.
It means that a gem equipped in the Top-Left Vessel will yield different directional advantages or modifiers than one in the bottom-right.
Gem Qualities
Gems are divided into three quality tiers (Lesser/Regular/Greater), available for each vocation:
Sage Gem (Sorcerer/Alchemist).
Mystic Gem (Druid/Biochemist).
Marksman Gem (Paladin/Sniper).
Guardian Gem (Knight/Gladiator).
Ninja Gem (Thief/Ninja).
Lesser Gems
These typically roll standard stat points, capacity increases, or basic elemental resistances.
Regular Gems
They grant significantly stronger raw stats and introduce minor combat perks or defensive utility.
Greater Gems
Greater Gems can roll unique, game-changing modifiers that directly alter high-level spells or rotation mechanics.
Gem Revelation
Gems cannot be immediately used upon acquisition and require a refinement process.
Through Gem Revelation you're able to reveal Gem hidden atributes by the cost of some gold.
In this process, the Gem is bind to your character and can't be retrieved.
The bonuses, resistances, and spell upgrades rolled upon revelation are entirely randomized within the constraints of the gem's quality tier.
Due to this factor, you might need to collect and reveal multiple gems to hunt for the perfect combination of modifiers.
Gems Dismantle
By using gold, you can dismantle the Gems in which you're not going to use or didn't like their modifier.
Lesser Gems turn into Lesser Fragments. ![]()
Regular/Greater Gems turn into Greater Fragments.
Both are used on the fragment workshop.
