Monk vocation has two unique and exclusive mechanics, such as harmony and serene.
Both systems can (and will) work simultaneously with monk stances.
Harmony
The harmony system grants monks more versatily in spell usage.
It works through a builder/spender play style and can accumulate until five stacks of harmony.
Builder Group Spells
- adds one stack of harmony
- (if solo): heals health points
- (if on party): heals the party member with lowest health percent around
Spender Group Spells
- uses all stacks of harmony to heavily increase their power.
- (if solo): heals health points
- (if on party): heals the party member with lowest health percent around
Serene
The serene mode is represented by the purple bar below your harmony.
It is always active, except if you're in a party with more than 6 or more adjacent monsters and a party member is around.
When inactive, it cuts the effect of all monk stances in half.
Mantra
Mantra system works similar as armor.
The same way that an item can give elemental protection, skills boost, it can also give mantra.
By every point of Mantra your character has, it reduces damage taken in 1.
Example: Let's say your character has received a flat 1150 damage and you have 230 armor and 120 mantra. Every armor point reduces damage taken in 3 230 * 3 = 690 Every mantra point reduces damage taken in 1 120 * 1 = 120 Received damage: 1150 Damage reduced by total armor value: 690 Damage reduced by total mantra value: 120 Final damage taken: 1150 - 690 - 120 = 340 hit points
